This course is designed to educate kayakers on
the art of managing a group safely on the water. Guide for a
Day Courses provide you with a chance to learn some of the "Tricks
of the Guiding Trade".
During this one day course, your guide will discuss
techniques and skills a kayaker needs to develop a safe and
confident attitude while on the water. Your guide for the day
is your ultimate resource. Choose the topics, pick their brains,
get as much out of them as you can.
Did we mention this course includes our famous Gourmet Island
Buffet Lunch?
Guide for a Day courses are intended for non-commercial paddlers
with some basic skills who want to organize or lead private
groups of kayakers. This is not a certification course and it
does not involve rescues**
The 1000 Islands is an ideal training ground for sea kayak instruction.
In the Islands you get a bit of everything from a guides perspective.
Topics include:
