ORCA Flatwater Course – One Day,
8 Hour Course
Also for beginners, but geared to those interested in pursuing
kayaking at a recreational level. Morning at Charleston Lake
will be spent working on strokes and maneuvers and afternoon
on rescues and safety. Prepare to get wet, bring your lunch
and bottled water. Kayaks provided and an information package
will be sent in advance of the course.
This course also offers an optional ORCA FW (Flat Water Kayaking)
certification.
All instructional courses include a one year subscription to Adventure
Kayak Magazine!

This two day course is designed for your personal mastery of kayaking skills. It includes detailed lessons on navigation, weather, emergency communication systems, advanced stroke and rescue techniques, risk assesment and journey judgement.
